Hello there, my name is Hannah and welcome to my new newsletter ‘The Geography Reader’!
In 2024, I wanted a new project to focus on and thought… what would be more perfect than combining all my loves in one? Reading, writing and geography (also cats but didn’t quite fit!).
A little about me:
Ever since I was a young child, I have loved to learn about the world around me. This pursuit to discover more about others, the way we live, nature, how we interact with nature and so much more is what sparked my love of reading - the perfect way to see the world through other’s eyes.
Coinciding with my love of literature-based geographies, I studied Geography to a Master’s level and further built upon this to earn a PGCE and subsequent Master’s in Education where I now have the privilege of teaching Geography to today’s young people.
What to expect:
As far as I am concerned, as long as you continue learning about the world around you and the role you play within it - then you will continue to grow.
My aspirations for ‘The Geography Reader’ remain open, nevertheless my key intentions at the point of launch is to post frequently about new things I have learned about the world, my observations of geographies in literature, depictions of nature in art and the importance of prioritising behaviour and meaningful actions that is accommodating to all others in the single world we share.
Wish me luck!
